The Actual Issue – Mercedes Screen Restart Problem

Why Replacement Was the Correct Solution
Because:
• The system was unstable
• Restart loop makes any upgrade unreliable
• Repair is not always guaranteed or cost-effective
✔ Replacing the unit with a tested OEM system was the most reliable solution
If your Mercedes screen turns off after a minute and restarts, this is usually a head unit failure — not a software issue.
🔧 Anti-Theft Protection After Head Unit Replacement
In many Mercedes vehicles, especially when dealing with a screen restart (boot loop), replacing the head unit is required.
After replacement, the system may display:
“Anti-theft protection activated – Please visit your Mercedes-Benz workshop”
This is part of Mercedes component protection.
✔️ How This Was Resolved
After fixing the screen restart issue, the system entered anti-theft mode.

✔ System coding and adaptation
✔ Component protection removal
✔ Full synchronization with the vehicle
The system returned to normal operation and the message was permanently removed.
